It's Perfectly Normal

Harris, R. (2009). It’s perfectly normal. Boston, MA: Candlewick Press. This is a very informative book about developing bodies, puberty, sex, and reproduction and now includes topics like Internet safety, homosexuality and transgender.  There are ample picture but they are all illustrated and sometimes feels more comic strip or cartoonish. The images are not pornographic, as some opposition would suggest but rather strictly informative. The book is recommended for ages 10 and up. My library is for kindergarteners through 5th graders and while I do believe that the 5th graders would benefit, I would rather have them wait until next year to get the book from middle school or best place, their parents.
